What is Art in the Chambers?

Every four months a new exhibition of loaned artwork is put on display inside the Board of County Commissioners chambers which is seen by thousands of people. The program showcases both art from our local museums and/or collections and art which has been created by nationally-known artists that live or work in Orange County.


  • The artist resides or works in Orange County.
  • The artist has been in numerous exhibitions.
  • The artist has pieces in established collections.
  • The Public Art Review Board feels the art would be appropriate in quality and content for the BCC Chambers (reflects community values).
  • Chambers and reflects community values.
  • Works are from an established Orange County museum or collection
