Overview
Our mission is to improve patient outcomes, drive innovation in emergency medical services, and uphold the highest standards of care for our community. OMD oversees the eight agencies delivering emergency medical services to residents and visitors of Orange County. Additionally, we coordinate disaster health services for the community and regional healthcare systems during both natural and man-made emergencies. In partnership with DOH-Orange and other local organizations, we ensure support for individuals with special needs during declared emergencies. OMD also engages in emergency preparedness drills throughout the year to ensure Orange County is equipped to handle all potential hazards.
