Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs and the Orange County Regional History Center cordially invite citizens to attend a ceremony to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This milestone legislation greatly expanded civil rights protections, outlawing racial segregation in public places, places of public accommodation, and encouraged desegregation in public schools. Please join Mayor Jacobs as she unveils a commemorative art piece by Full Sail University students that will be displayed at the History Center. The program will feature Monica May from Star 94.5 as the program emcee and Curtis Dean, the godson of Rosa Parks.
