VINE

Victim Information and Notification Everyday

WHAT IS VINE?

VINE is a free, statewide service that allows crime victims and the general public to obtain information about criminal cases and the custody status of an inmate. Vine covers county jails and state prisons. Go to VINELINK for more information.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF CRIME

Victims may register for VINE updates through the arresting agency. Doing so qualifies you to receive information by telephone and the US Postal Service. This service is not available to the general public, and the only way to get it is through the arresting agency.

OTHER WAYS TO REGISTER

There are two ways the general public may register with Vine:

  1. Web registration: Go to VINELINK or
  2. Call toll-free 1-877-846-3435 Operators are always available to assist callers. Registration is optional and anonymous, but is required if you do not want to repeatedly call the hotline for updates.

FIND OUT

Use VINE to find out:
  • If the inmate is currently in custody and where.
  • Pending charges.
  • Scheduled release date, if known.
  • The bond amount.
The easiest way to get information is with the inmate booking number. Inmate Search

FREQUENCY OF NOTIFICATIONS

Notification takes place within 15 minutes of a record change, and calls continue every 2 hours for 48 hours.
Notification letters are mailed the next business day after the inmate's release. Go to VINELINK for more information.

Note: Do not depend solely on VINE or any other program for safety.
