Domestic Violence Commission to Issue Report

Orange County, FL – The Orange County Domestic Violence Commission will discuss and issue a report of its recommendations at a meeting on Friday June 7, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Board of County Commissioners Chambers, Orange County Government Administration Center, 201 S. Rosalind Avenue in downtown Orlando.

For the past five months, the commission has been reviewing aspects of law enforcement, criminal justice and victim care with an eye toward protecting Central Florida citizens from the threat of domestic violence.

Mayor Teresa Jacobs reconvened the Domestic Violence Commission in January in response to a recent spike in domestic violence cases in the region. The commission, co-chaired by Circuit Judge Alice Blackwell and Dick Batchelor, will distribute copies of the report at the meeting.
