Normandy Shores resident Lila Dascher, 67, has lived in her home for 18 years and has always taken pride in her Pine Hills community. She is proud to know all her neighbors and has great affinity for her community. However, for the past six years, Dascher has been disabled and living on Social Security with a limited income – so the aesthetics of her home’s exterior has dwindled.
12/06/2016 Oath Of Office Ceremony For Orange County District 1, 3 And 5 Held At Convention Center
More than 400 citizens gathered at the Orange County Convention Center on Dec. 6 for the Orange County Oath of Office Ceremony. Orange County District 1 Commissioner Betsy VanderLey and District 5 Commissioner Emily Bonilla were sworn in for their first terms, while District 3 Commissioner Pete Clarke was sworn in for his second term.

09/01/2016 Orange County Fire Rescue Celebrates Station 28 Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
On Friday, August 5, 2016, Orange County Fire Rescue celebrated the newly renovated Fire Station 28 with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Located in Apopka, Fire Station 28 ran 2,491 calls call for service during the last fiscal year, 2,025 of which were EMS calls.
