Sustainability Plan

Sustainability and the Community

Orange County is not just one “place,” but rather, a series of communities with unique circumstances, characteristics, and needs. To ensure all our communities are sustainable, Orange County evaluates the needs of our residents, businesses, and visitors, and finds a way to help our communities meet those needs.

Accomplishments and Efforts

  • Primary Care Access Network (PCAN) is a partnership to improve the access, quality, and coordination of health care services for the county’s under-insured and uninsured population.
  • Orange County’s Housing and Community Development Division has affordable housing programs, capital improvement projects, and public services that help to create and maintain viable communities.
  • The Community Clean Up Program helps to improve the appearance of neighborhoods and increase pride among residents.
