HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS - June 1 - November 30 is hurricane season. Please visit the Office of Emergency Management website and www.ocfl.net/huracanes (Spanish version) for storm ready tips and instructions to prepare your family in the event of an emergency. Learn about the Orange County guidelines for private/gated communities debris removal, and watch a short video on how to manage debris removal in your gated neighborhood after a storm. Be sure to sign up for OC Alert our text based weather emergency system that will send instant messages to mobile devices. Remember to make a plan, get a kit, stay informed and get involved!

RAINY SEASON READINESS - Florida’s rainy season extends from June through October. Learn about Rainy Season Readiness from South Florida Water Management District, and check back often for real time current conditions, storm track updates, and more.

Neighborhood Stabilization Program

The Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) was created by the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 to respond to rising residential foreclosures and property abandonment. The main purpose of the NSP is to stabilize neighborhoods negatively impacted by foreclosures. Orange County will use NSP funds to acquire, renovate, and sell foreclosed homes at affordable prices to eligible families.

Calling all Golfers - 12th Annual United Way Tournament - Register now!

Please join us at the Orange County National Golf Course and Lodge for the 12th Annual Orange County Government Golf Tournament. All proceeds will benefit Heart of Florida United Way. There will be raffle prizes and a delicious Awards Luncheon. Help support the Heart of Florida United Way 2010 Campaign and have fun doing it.

Tournament will be held at Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge Friday Oct. 1 (view more details).
