Session A: 9:00 am – 10:00 am

Transforming Your Neighborhood From Drab to Fab
Join the Neighborhood Services Grants Team to reimagine your subdivision aesthetics and attract the right attention! In this interactive workshop, staff will navigate you through the grant application process, provide practical insights, and introduce technological tools to help you curate a more inviting neighborhood entranceway that elevates the social wellbeing of your community.

Ask A Lawyer
As a board member of a homeowners’ or condominium association, you have a legal responsibility to your community. In return, residents of communities with associations expect their associations to meet certain responsibilities. Do you ever wish you had free legal advice when it comes to neighborhood-related legal documents, processes, or practices? Presented by a local attorney that specializes in this field, this workshop is what you are looking for!

No More Slacking: Integrating A.I. In Everyday Life
Artificial Intelligence, commonly known as A.I., makes it possible for computer systems and machines to perform human-like tasks. A.I. has a vast range of uses and benefits to allow people to complete time-consuming or difficult tasks with ease and efficiency! Whether it’s learning a new language, editing your writing, boosting your creativity, or receiving assistance with financial planning-A.I. has a tool for everyone. Come see for yourself and learn how to integrate this technology in your everyday life.

The Forecast Is Bright: How Orange County Utilities Innovates to Create A More Sustainable Tomorrow
Orange County Utilities uses innovative thinking and new technology to better serve the community. Learn how they collect and analyze curbside collection recycling data to improve programs, how they use wastewater sampling to detect trends in communicable diseases and aid healthcare decisions, and how they’ve invested in unique enterprise-level solar projects to help the county meet its goal to reduce carbon emissions. While much work is done behind the scenes, the Orange County Utilities is always researching, testing, and implementing advanced tools and processes to provide water, wastewater, and solid waste services in a sustainable way, safeguarding these essential resources for the future.

Session B: 10:15 am – 11:15am

Leveraging Technology to Cultivate Meaningful Relationships in Community
Presenter: Caleb Paull Experience a series of thought-provoking questions, take part in introspective exercises, and receive powerful, yet practical pointers on the role networking plays in our lives! The primary focus of this workshop will be leveraging current technology and using intentional engagement to create more meaningful relationships. In addition to these tools, you will learn about other aspects of relationship-building skills such as social intelligence, business etiquette, and communication.

Don’t Get Reeled In, Avoid the Phishing Hook
In this workshop, attendees will be introduced to an interactive cyber game to help them avoid the dangerous waters of online phishing. Online pirates are using convincing tactics to lure individuals to share sensitive information to commit identity theft, steal your money, and impersonate a government agency or financial institution. Our Consumer Protection Office staff will navigate you through the deep sea of phishing, educate you about the elements of scams, common tricks, and how to avoid becoming phish bait.

Future Forward: Eco-Tech Innovations
Learn how our dedicated Orange County scientists employ technology to protect the natural resources and inspire residents to become eco-ambassadors! Each day, smart tools are utilized to identify and analyze critical environmental issues. These powerful and cost-effective technologies help our team operate better than ever before by collecting accurate data and developing targeted solutions, policies, and regulations to protect and improve water and air quality.

A.I.M. - Smart Technology, Safer Policing for All
Emerging technology can provide innovative solutions to crime challenges, enhance community relations, and contribute to officer and community safety. The goal of this workshop is to introduce the public to the Real Time Crime Center by Analytics, Intelligence, and Monitoring (AIM). OCSO will highlight its use of various agency technologies, like fixed camera assets throughout the county, to identify criminal activity patterns and trends for operational deployment, tactical intervention, and analysis management.

Session C: 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
