Elder Programs in County Facilities

Don’t just sit there! Connect with other people. Find something to give, to like, to feel good about - healthy body, healthy mind! Get involved in many recreational, socialization and exercise programs offered throughout Orange County.

  • Senior Recreation Centers – Orange County Parks and Recreation has two beautiful locations that offer game rooms for fun, fitness equipment for workouts, and programs to help you stay healthy and active.
  • Community Centers – Orange County Community Action has seven community centers that host senior clubs that offer educational classes and comradery.
  • Neighborhood Center for Families – Orange County Citizens Commission for Children hosts thirteen neighborhood centers that offer programming tailored to the individual needs of each community.

OFFICE AND COMMISSION
ON AGING

The Office on Aging, located within the Community Action Division, provides staff support to the Commission on Aging. The Commission on Aging identifies Orange County resources dedicated to older adults and works with local, state, and national partners to create an elder-friendly community. By promoting partnerships with organizations, identifying needed programs, and linking services to the citizens, the Commission's goal is to empower older adults to maintain their independence and quality of life within their home community.
