Orange County Parks and Recreation has the following fun events and community meetings:

FREE Movies in the Park
  • Bring your family and friends to the following locations for a FREE Movie in the Park! Bring lawn chairs and snacks, or purchase from food trucks, if available. No alcohol allowed in the park; no pets allowed in the viewing area. Email parks@ocfl.net or call Parks Marketing 407-836-6257.
    • Shrek Forever After: The Final Chapter: This fun animated movie (rated PG, 93 mins.) starts at 7 p.m., shortly after dark.

FREE Family Fun and Resource Fair, October 18
  • You, your family and friends are invited to the FREE Family Fun and Resource Fair at Barnett Park, presented by the Orange County Community and Family Services Department on Saturday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy free food and resources (while supplies last), activities and performances. Orange County Human Resources will be on site so come explore career opportunities and apply online for jobs in the Community and Family Services Department, including Parks and Recreation! FREE Fort Christmas Barnyard Banter: What's in the Garden, October 18
  • All ages are welcome to join in the Barnyard Banter program at Fort Christmas Historical Park on Saturday, October 18, from 1-2 p.m.! This month’s free event, What's in the Garden, is a presentation about the fruits and vegetables grown by pioneer families. Visit Fort Christmas Historical Park for more information. Questions? FREE Monthly Senior Fish4Fun Event at Renaissance Senior Center, October 21
  • Orange County Parks & Recreation and the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission join together to bring you Senior Fish4Fun for ages 55 and older at Renaissance Senior Center. This is a once-a-month free catch-n-release fishing event! Fishing poles and bait provided while supplies last, or participants can bring their own fresh-water fishing gear. Questions? Dance the Night Away With The Crew, October 25
  • Dance the night away as you enjoy the beautiful music of The Crew on the fourth Saturday of the month, from 6-9 p.m., at Renaissance Senior Center’s ballroom! The event is open to adults ages 18 and older, cost: $20 exact cash per person at the door. Come enjoy a cool atmosphere of dance, fun and live music provided by The Crew.
