About Us

Orange County Responds is committed to addressing the opioid crisis and supporting the broader mission of the Orange County Drug-Free Office (DFO) — advancing prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery efforts across our community.

Since 1999, the Orange County Drug-Free Coalition (managed by DFO), has proudly served the residents and visitors of Orange County, working to build a healthy, safe, and drug-free community where children and families can thrive.

Our office leads three dedicated committees focused on key areas of prevention, treatment, intervention and recovery:

  • Youth, Families, and Prevention
  • Higher Education
  • Treatment and Recovery

Each committee in our coalition is powered by teams of passionate volunteers and community partners who plan and implement programs, strategies, and activities that promote community health and safety. Members meet monthly to coordinate efforts aimed at preventing high-risk behaviors—including the misuse of alcohol, tobacco/nicotine, marijuana, illicit drugs, and prescription medications—while also expanding access to treatment and recovery resources for those in need.

Together, we respond, engage, and take action to ensure Orange County remains a strong, supportive, and drug-free community.
