In 2018, Central Florida was ranked first in the nation for job growth, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Additionally, Forbes magazine ranked the metro Orlando region No. 1 to invest in a home with an estimated 84,000 building permits issued in Orange County valued at $2.3 billion. Orange County also earned the highest AAA credit rating from Moody's Investors Service, recognizing its fiscal reliability and continued quality-of-life enhancements.
More than 900 people a year in the U.S. die from impatient or distracted drivers running a red light.
Intersection cameras, by far, are the most effective way to stop dangerous violators, cutting intersection crashes by 30 percent.
We're not out to catch minor infractions. We're out to stop the kind of reckless driver who could kill you next.
A violation only occurs when a vehicle travels past the solid white stop bar and proceeds through the intersection after the light has turned red. Any vehicle already in the intersection (past the stop bar when the light changes from yellow to red) is not considered a violation.
Through the use of traffic signal cameras, we're out to make our streets safer for our citizens and visitors. There is a fine of $158 for each red light violation offense. At no time will a red light camera violation carry points against your driver’s license or auto insurance.
The due date for payment of violation fines is located on the top and bottom right of your Notice of Violation. If you do not pay by the due date, a Uniform Traffic Citation will be issued. Cost associated with that citation will apply plus administration and court fees up to $500.
If you receive a Notice of Violation, you can pay the fine in person, by mail or online, request a hearing, or submit an affidavit of non-responsibility. Instructions are included with the Notice of Violation.
Images of your vehicle were captured and recorded by an Automated Intersection Safety System. You can review your images and video of the actual violation online at www.violationinfo.com. A Traffic Infraction Enforcement Officer will review and affirm all violations before notices are mailed.
