Stormwater pollution is a serious issue. It can affect the quality of drinking water as well as recreation uses for water. The Federal Government recognized this concern and established the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program, a Federally mandated Clean Water Act program that works at educating people, businesses and creating compliance.
