Oath of Office Ceremony

The Oath of Office Ceremony promotes transparent government and ensures that elected officials remain dedicated to the public and the principles of democracy. The ceremony is open to all residents, providing an opportunity for the community to witness their elected officials' commitment firsthand.

Orange County Board of County Commissioners

The Orange County Board of County Commissioners is made up of nine elected officials: eight district commissioners and one county mayor, who is elected countywide. The mayor and commissioners serve overlapping four-year terms.

Mayor and Districts 2, 4, 6, and 8: Elections are held during gubernatorial election years. (e.g. 2022, 2026, 2030, and 2034)
Districts 1, 3, 5, and 7: Elections are held during presidential election years. (e.g. 2024, 2028, 2032, and 2036).

*In November 2024, Orange County voters approved expanding commission districts from six districts to eight. District 7 will be elected in 2026 and will serve an adjusted term through 2028, when the district will transition to the regular election cycle for a full 4-year term.
