The Good Life
Warm winters, plenty of sunshine, world famous attractions and miles of nearby beaches help make Orange County the best place to live, work and raise a family.
Just For children
For children, we offer programs for after school and school breaks. The Orange County Head Start Program provides early childhood pre-school for low-income families. Be sure to check out 4-H and Midnight Basketball for teens. The County also offers a variety of youth athletics as well as youth counseling and shelter programs.
SENIORS
Become a foster grandparent, join the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and take advantage of our group meals, transportation help and short-term case management assistance. Many of our senior programs take place at our two full service senior centers.
RECREATION
Outdoor activities include bike riding, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, fishing, tent and RV camping and much more. Enjoy Orange County’s 100 parks, trails and facilities, first class museums, hundreds of cultural events and festivals and vibrant urban lakes.
Our community works hard to protect Orange County's rich wildlife and natural resources. Volunteers are always welcome.
ARTS AND CULTURE
The Orange County Regional History Center in downtown Orlando has long been a popular attraction with plenty of educational and special events throughout the year. You may also visit OrlandoAtPlay.com for a schedule of events, including dance, festivals, theater and more.
