Contractors for the Orange County Environmental Protection Division recently completed the Orange County Groundwater Vulnerability Assessment (GVA). 

Key study elements include:

• Mapping areas where groundwater is vulnerable to contamination
• Identifying subdivisions with high densities of septic tanks
• Deriving capture zones for water bodies of interest
• Evaluating septic system setbacks from water bodies
