As you prepare for your journey, the coming weeks represent a good time to learn more about the upcoming 2025 benefit changes, before electing them during Open Enrollment. Open Enrollment is an important opportunity for Orange County Government employees to review upcoming changes, then compare their current coverage to their actual health care needs.

What's NEW for 2025: A New Horizon Awaits

  • NEW. More affordable, 3rd medical plan option: SureFit
    This plan offers copays, lower premiums, and a narrow strong network of providers. You must reside in or plan to use medical services within the SureFit/Advent Health Network area (Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Polk, Volusia and Lake County).
    • ZERO $ Employee only tier premium contribution.
    • Selection of Primary Care Physician required
    • Referrals needed for Specialists
    • Narrow network with minimum disruption in comparison to the Open Access Plus Network (OAP)
    • Co-payments for Primary and Specialist visits
    • Deductible: $1,500 individual / $3,000 Family
    • Out of pocket max: $3,000 individual / $6,000 family
    • Eligible for $20/$40 wellness credit
  • Increased Employer Contribution to HSA (proration applies)

Stay on Course or Chart a New Path

If you would like to keep the same benefit choices, no action is required. You will be automatically re-enrolled in your current plans. There's few exception:

Who Needs to Enroll:
  • Employees changing their benefits.
  • Employees changing their covered dependents.
  • Employees who want a Flexible Spending Account (FSA, LPFSA, DCSA)) or are continuing their FSA in 2025.
  • Employees who want to Open or activate a Health Savings Account (HSA)

  • High Deductible Health Plan
    • No premium increase for employees
    • Increased deductibles (per IRS requirements)
    • Deductible: $1,650 Individual / $3,300 family
    • Out of pocket max: $3,000 individual / $6,000 family
  • Low deductible Health Plan
    • No premium increase for employees
    • Increased deductibles
    • Deductible: $1,500 Individual / $3,000 Family
    • Out of pocket max: $3,000 individual / $6,000 family
  • Cigna Dental
    • High, middle and Low plan options
    • No plan design changes to any of our 2025 dental plans
    • No premium increase for employees
  • Met Life Vision
    • No changes to plan design
    • No premium increase for employees
    • Remember your network name: Superior Vision Network by MetLife
  • HSA Maximum Annual Election Amount
    • Employee only (single coverage): $4,300
    • Employee with dependents (family coverage): $8,550
  • Flexible Spending Account Maximum Annual Election Amount
    • Medical FSA: $3,200
    • Limited Purpose FSA: $3,200
    • Dependent Care FSA: $5,000
