Fix It, Don't Pitch It!

WHAT IS FIX IT, DON'T PITCH IT?

Fix It, Don't Pitch It is a unique community event that encourages residents to extend the life of their belongings by having them fixed for free by handy volunteers. By doing so, participants consume fewer resources and help reduce landfill waste.

WHEN IS THE NEXT FIX IT, DON'T PITCH IT EVENT?

Orange County will host one Fix It, Don't Pitch It event to commemorate Pollution Prevention Week 2022:

WHEN: Saturday, October 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

WHERE: Orange County Renaissance Senior Center at South Econ Community Park, 3800 S. Econlockhatchee Trail, Orlando, FL 32829

Volunteers will be on hand to diagnose and fix the following items:*

  • Electronics
  • Clothing
  • Jewelry
  • Bikes
  • Other common household items

* While volunteers try their best, they cannot always fix all items and some may be beyond repair. If you know in advance that your item needs a spare part, please bring it with you. Also be sure to bring all electronics fully charged and have charging cords on hand.
