Do I have to be an employment seeker to participate in this program?
The Family Self-Sufficiency program is designed to prepare individuals for careers by providing tuition assistance for employment training programs (vocational, post-secondary education and state/national certifications). You should be an employment seeker who is unemployed and seeking employment or under-employed seeking to increase employment wages.
Do I have to meet all eligibility requirements to participate?
Yes. The Family Self-Sufficiency Program is a grant-funded program that requires eligibility criteria to be met before providing services.
How do I know if my application was received?
When you have successfully completed the online application and uploaded all of the required documents, you will receive an application confirmation with an online identification number. You should save the identification number for your records.
How long is the application review process?
The application review and determination process could take up to 5-days business days after submission, if all required documents were submitted with the online application. Incomplete applications and documents could delay or terminate the application process.
