The proposal is to change the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) designation of approximately 1,424.57 acres from Rural/Agricultural (R) to Lake Pickett (LP) to allow up to 1,947 dwelling units within 8 neighborhoods, 130,100 square feet of Community Space including, community centers and amenities, a multi-purpose trail, a middle or K-8 public school, and a fire station. The request is considered to be a large-scale amendment to the Orange County FLUM, requiring two community meetings and four public hearings: LPA and BCC transmittal public hearings, followed by LPA and BCC adoption public hearings. The Planned Development-Regulating Plan (PD-RP) and Planned Development-Rural Settlement (PD-RS) rezoning includes an additional 11.25 acres within the Lake Pickett Rural Settlement (RS) of 1,435.82 acres with 11 additional units, for a total 1,958 dwellings.

Join Orange County Parks and Recreation with District 3 Commissioner Mayra Uribe for the Barber Park Skate Park public meeting on Wednesday, July 26, 6-7 p.m. at Orange County IFAS/UF Extension Office, 6021 S.
