Community Feedback
Orange County began seeking feedback on the transportation initiative in 2019 by holding community meetings and launching a survey to gather the public’s comments and opinions. That outreach was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, Mayor Jerry L. Demings re-engaged with residents by re-launching the survey and hosting Community Open House Meetings to make sure Orange County’s transportation priorities aligned with the initial findings.
Combined, there were more than 19,000 surveys completed and more than 270 meetings took place. Additionally, the county received nearly 8,000 comments and recommendations. The Transportation Survey was available online in English, Spanish, and Creole. Orange County residents and those who travel regularly to the county were encouraged to take the survey.
