Orange County Government is preparing construction documents for replacement of the Chase Road Bridge over the Lake Butler and Lake Louise canal.
Orange County Public Works has initiated a planning and evaluation effort for the Chase Road Bridge. This effort is part of the County’s ongoing program to assess transportation infrastructure and plan for long-term community needs.
The purpose of this phase is to evaluate potential bridge configurations and develop a conceptual design that meets current engineering standards. This includes reviewing structural alternatives, confirming design criteria, and preparing documentation that would allow the project to advance efficiently should future funding become available.
This planning effort ensures the County is prepared to address future infrastructure needs in a thoughtful and fiscally responsible manner.
The design phase started on January 7, 2026.
One public information meeting and multiple small group meetings will be scheduled during the design phase of the project. Newsletters will be mailed to nearby property owners at critical project milestones.
