and those around the region.

database in alignment with the United Nation’s Sustainable
Development Goals.
Resilience Index
The Planning Department of Orange County has been working to create a Resilience Index using nationally accepted
methodologies to assess how well our community can absorb, endure, and recover from the impacts of natural,
health, and socioeconomic shocks or stressors. This project outlines a data-driven approach to influence programs,
policy, and planning for the future to enhance our community resilience based on previous conditions and response
strategy.
Orange County is committed to the Regional Resilience Collaborative, working with the more than 37 stakeholders to
ensure the Health + Equity, Built Infrastructure + Natural Environment, and Economic Resilience of region.
The Central Florida Foundation has established the THRIVE framework to confront the five challenges facing the region
and create a focused approach to drive measurable impact.
