A successful mobility strategy is important for maintaining economic vitality, ensuring quality of life for residents and visitors, and having a positive long-term effect on our local environment.

Goal 10: People Have Multiple Transportation Options

Goal 12: Our Transportation System Is Safe

2.	Proactively monitor and analyze safety-related data	Short	Fatality crashes are searched daily and distributed to Project Managers. The speed limit in multiple corridors in the County is being revaluated to provide a safer traveling environment for all road users. Curves with high crash rates were given signage and pavement marking improvements. Worked with the City of Orlando to evaluate unsignalized intersections and plan improvements. 3.	Implement bicycle/pedestrian safety strategies and programs	Long	Several Road Safety Audits and a multimodal assessment with FDOT and MetroPlan were completed for roads within the County. Several pedestrian safety analyses and improvements were completed around the county and a new bike lane added on Curry Ford Road. Leading Pedestrian Intervals are being added to school crossings at five selected schools. Continued coordination with a many partners make it possible to oversee a variety of programs and improvements in pedestrian and bicycle safety including a multitude of events planned for 2020.	75% complete

Goal 13: Investments In Transportation Are Fiscally Sustainable

Invest in transportation infrastructure that supports economic development	Long	Between 1998 and 2019, Orange County approved over 418 partnership roadway agreements with a total value of over $363 million. In 2019 there were 48 additional agreements totaling more than $6M. The County also participates in the State of Florida's Economic Development Transportation Fund.	75% complete
2.	Pursue dedicated transit funding	Medium	The SunRail Transition Analysis was released in 2019 in advance of the shift of SunRail from FDOT to CFCRC in 2021. Regional transit funding options are being reviewed and a Transit Feasibility and Technology Assessment to provide premium transit service to the International Drive and Universal Boulevard area is being conducted. Mayor Demings' held several Transportation Town Halls to gather input from residents about the transit needs across the county and to promote the need for a 1 penny sales tax increase dedicated to transportation.	75% complete
3.	Flexibility of funding sources for multimodal operations and maintenance	Medium	The Multimodal Coridor Plan projected the County's long-term funding relative to transportation network needs. Goal 14: Our Transportation Options Are Clean, Green, And Aesthetically Pleasing

Accelerate build-out of Trails Master Plan	Long	Significant funding designated by MetroPlan Orlando/FDOT in the Five Year TIP to several Orange County Trail Projects including Shingle Creek Trail, Lake Apopka Connector Trail, Little Econ Trail Phase 3 and Pine Hills Trail/Clarcona Ocoee Connector Trail projects. FDOT is leading design and construction on the Coast to Coast and Wekiva Trail projects which will be maintained by the County.	75% complete
3.	Context sensitive design that incorporates aesthetics and amenities	Medium	In FY18/19 landscaping was completed for fifteen miles of raodway. Six lighting projects were completed for 6.8 miles of roadway. A Pine Hills pedestrian-bicycle safety project is underway including high intensity crosswalks, colored concrete ramps and sidewalk pavers, decorative knee walls, mast arm traffic signals and pole signs. Enhancements are being planned for I-4 Beyond the Utilmate to include landscaping, lighting, signage, gateway and bridge aethestics.	75% complete
