Orange County Community Action works to enhance life quality and promote self-sufficiency by mobilizing socioeconomic resources, collaborations and partnerships. Community Action changes people's lives, embodying a spirit of hope, improving communities and making America a better place to live for all its citizens.

Community Action manages Orange County’s Senior Climate Efficiency Program. The Program provides elderly residents – those ages 60 and over – with air conditioner repairs, unit replacements and system upgrades.

In partnership with the Osceola Council on Aging, the Division’s Weatherization Assistance Program aims to reduce the monthly energy burden on low-income households. In order to improve energy efficiency, the program provides insulation, ventilation, solar screens, HVAC unit repairs and more.

The Division facilitates Orange County’s distribution of the federally funded Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LIHEAP. The program provides low-income Orange County residents with financial assistance towards home heating and cooling costs.

The Family Self Sufficiency Program is an income-based educational and vocational program. It is designed to assist low-income individuals and families achieve economic independence, financial stability and self-sufficiency.

The Office on Aging is a resource for Central Florida’s elderly communities. The program offers information and resources to help seniors thrive.

Community Action oversees nine Community Action Centers. Spread out across all corners of Orange County, these community centers are strategically placed to serve the unique needs of various communities.
